Welcome to our class web page.
The boys and girls from room 1 have settled into school life in St. Joseph’s. They enjoy singing, colouring and playing with their new friends.
Spring has sprung and the children in Room 1 have been having lots of fun learning all about the new season. We have learned about the farm and the new life born on a farm every Spring. We even had a very special visit from Farmer Dan who showed us his tractor! Before our Easter holidays we had an Easter Egg Hunt in the school garden. We all found a chocolate bar and egg each, yum yum! We also painted Cherry Blossom Trees in Art. Take a look at all the fun we are having below.
World Book Day
Happy World Book Day from Room 1!
St. Brigid’s Day
Junior Infants made beautiful collages of St. Brigid’s cloak to celebrate St. Brigid’s day on February 1st.
We baked Gingerbread Men with our parents. We had great fun!
This month we are busy learning about ‘Homes’. We have explored the different types of homes that exist and identified the ones we have seen around Tullamore. We have also learned about each room in a house and the items that belong there. During Aistear we explored homes through the story of “Goldilocks and the Three Bears.”
Take a look and see what we have been up to…..
During the month of October we were learning all about our new school. We learned the names and the jobs of the people who work in St. Joseph’s. During Aistear time we did some role play where we pretended to be some of the teachers, Helen from the office and even Ms Dowling! We really enjoyed ourselves
Happy Halloween from Room 1!
