Welcome to Senior Infants. We have been having lots of fun this year so far! When we are not busy teaching our teacher how to floss we are learning all about ourselves, our homes and town. We are also reading Fantastic Mr. Fox and we just can’t get enough of Mr. Fox, his family and their adventures.

Senior Infants had a fantastic tour in Imaginosity in Dublin.

Easter Egg Hunt

Aistear

In Aistear this month we are learning about Zoo Animals. We are making Zoo animals from play dough, playing with Zoo animals in the Small World Area and making Animal masks to use during Role Play.

Shoebox appeal

The children in Room 11 gathered lots of nice things to fill up a shoebox for the Team Hope Shoebox appeal.

Ms. Brennan doesn’t know where her class is gone! Super heroes, monsters, witches and Elsa are all she can find! Happy Halloween from Room 11!

Friendship Week

Last week we all learned about the importance of friendship and we practiced being a good friend to each other. We made an extra special effort to be kind to one another and to play friendship games in the yard. We also drew, coloured in and painted lots of friendship themed art.  Here we are drawing our face as part of friendship week which will be used in a bigger piece of art with all the children in the school.

Little Red Hen

The children in room 11 all had great fun learning about the adventures of The Little Red Hen. They were super at getting into character and playing the role of the The Noisy Duck, The Lazy Dog, The Sleepy Cat and of course The Little Red Hen. Ms. Brennan has a class of budding stars

Roald Dahl Day

Last week we celebrated Roald Dahl’s birthday, we have been reading lots of his books in school. We love hearing all about the window cleaning animals, Matilda and her headmistress Ms. Trunchbull and the adventures of fantastic Mr. Fox.
