Friendship Week October 2^nd–  6^th 2023

We had an activity filled Friendship Week at the start of October. Children explored how to be good friends through a variety of different activities. We had a friendship raffle where children earned tokens when they were “caught” being good. Our entry box was overflowing as everyone made such an excellent effort at showing kindness and being friendly.

Classes sang songs, read stories, wrote poems, shared jig-saws and joined in circle time activities. Friendship lessons were integrated with SPHE, PE, Art and Literacy.

Classes took part in an Art activity where each child added themselves to a class picture and then all classes were displayed together under the heading “We are Friends “ in the Pe  hall. These pictures acted as a reminder that each one of us are part of a wide friendship community in St Joseph’s.

Well done to everyone who embraced Friendship Week with such enthusiasm.
