Here is our class for 2021-2022!
Our Tour
Room 7 had a fantastic time in Lullymore on our school tour. We played in a jungle gym, we saw lots of nice farm animals, we went on a train across the bog, we walked through the forest, we saw a fairy village and we visited some old mud houses.
Lá Glas
Lá glas in room 7. We had a surprise visit from a leprechaun!
World Book Day
We had lots of fun for World Book Day in room 7. We dressed up as a character from our favourite book. We redesigned the cover of our favourite book. We did a fun book quiz. We listened to a lovely story from Ms. O’Brien on zoom about a shark who ate his teacher and we had lots of DEAR time.
Pancake Tuesday
We had a lovely Pancake Tuesday in Room 7. We designed our favourite type of pancake, recited a fun pancake poem and did a procedure on pancake making. We finished the day with a pancake treat (with lots of Nutella!)
Letters to Santa!
Room 7 walked to the Post Office to post elf application letters to Santa.
PJ Party
The boys and girls in room 7 had a fantastic pyjama party. We made bookmarks, read three stories, created our own Book With No Pictures, had lots of DEAR time and had hot chocolate. We are also loving having DEAR time with all the lovely new books on the Senior Infant book trolley.
Halloween
Room 7 had great fun playing all the Halloween Games. They played musical chairs, stacked cups and tried to knock them down, tried to throw eyeballs into cups and bowling. We carved a pumpkin for Halloween. The children had lots of fun designing a face and removing the insides! Room 7 had lots of fun celebrating Halloween. The boys and girls had super costumes.
Charleville
We had a lovely time on our nature walk to Charleville. We collected oak leaves and pine cones and we saw lots of signs of Autumn on our walk.
Roald Dahl Day
Room 7 celebrated Roald Dahl Day with some magical activities. We read The Magic Finger and the children created wonderful new book covers to match the story. We watched some of Matilda and learned some cool facts about Roald Dahl.
