CRAFTed

We were incredibly lucky to be accepted onto the CRAFTed programme this year. We are the only class in St. Joseph’s participating. We were assigned a wonderful artist named Tunde Toth. Initially we were going to make a really unique type of paper with Tunde but unfortunately, she would have to be in the classroom to give instruction. After many meetings and conversations, we decided that we will now make felt with the children and Tunde will be able to give instructions via zoom. The children were fascinated during our first zoom call. I will send lots of pictures of the children during the process of making felt.

Science Week

The children had a great time during Science week. We
made skittles rainbows and storm in a glass. We also had a zoom meeting with Dr. Barry Fitzgerald. He talked about superheroes from the Marvel comics and it was fascinating. You can take a look at his work at barry@bwscience.com We are also studying the solar system at the moment and the children have made fantastic models. They cannot wait to take them home, but we are going to show them off in school for a little while!

Halloween

We all had a Spooktacular Halloween in St. Josephs. The children looked amazing in their costumes!  We scooped out pumpkin guts………some children enjoyed it more than others!
