We had a fantastic time celebrating Maths Week in Room 18! We looked at the different ways Maths is all around is and in the environment. We designed vibrant posters that highlighted the many ways maths is present in our everyday lives, coming up with plenty of creative ideas.

As part of the celebration, we buddied up with a Senior Infant class to play a variety of engaging maths games, fostering teamwork and a love of learning. We also got hands-on and creative with maths by constructing different shapes using matchsticks.

We had a very exciting end to the week by following a maths trail around the school, where we completed various activities—from doing a tally of the cars that passed by to adding up all the numbers on the hopscotch in the yard. It was a week full of fun, exploration, and a deeper appreciation for the world of mathematics!
