About Second Class
Welcome to Second Class at St Joseph’s N.S!
Second Class marks an important stage of development, where children gain confidence and take on greater challenges in their learning journey. Building on the foundation of earlier years, students in Second Class deepen their understanding of key concepts in literacy, numeracy, and creative thinking. They also engage in more complex projects, group work, and critical thinking activities. Our goal is to inspire curiosity, foster independence, and encourage collaboration among classmates. Second Class is a time for growing both academically and socially, as children prepare for the next stage of their educational path with excitement and enthusiasm.
A huge thank you to our talented Ms. Farrell, who painted some of the children’s faces today. As you can see, they looked absolutely amazing! It was a wonderful experience
A huge thank you to Jill Bradbury for cooking with the Second Class children today. The children were kept busy mixing flour, eggs, and milk to create the perfect pancake
Second Class children had a fantastic visit to Esker Arts today. They were given a tour of the facility and had the opportunity to create their own individual art pieces.
The boys and girls in 2nd class made their First Holy Communion on Saturday the 23rd of May. Everyone had a lovely day and looked beautiful for the occasion. Well
We are learning all about procedural writing. We chose to write about how to make garlic bread and of course we had to follow the procedure and make our own.
