This week, the second classes had a wonderful time making St. Brigid’s crosses with Fr. Fergal. With St. Brigid’s Day just around the corner, the children were excited to learn about this special tradition and create their very own crosses.

Fr. Fergal  showed the children how to weave the rushes together, patiently guiding them step by step. There was plenty of laughter, teamwork, and concentration as little hands worked carefully to shape their crosses.

By the end of the session, each child proudly held up their handcrafted St. Brigid’s cross, ready to bring home and display. It was a lovely way to celebrate our heritage and the spirit of St. Brigid.
