Room 21 have settled in well to the new school year! As part of our science and history lessons, we explored harvesting and food preservation in the past.
We made butter by putting cream into a jar and taking turns to shake it. After pouring out the buttermilk, we shook it again until only butter remained. We added a pinch of salt and tasted it on cream crackers. We loved it—some children even said it tasted better than butter you can buy in shops! Our arms were tired afterwards, but it was worth it!
