Science week fun! Ms. Heffernan’s first class carried out the ‘Lava Lamp’ experiment, the ‘Dancing raisins’ experiment and the ‘skittles colour mixing’ experiment. We have previously been learning about primary and secondary colours in Visual Arts so it was cool to see some secondary colours forming from mixing primary colours during the skittles experiment. Afterwards, we did our experiment write ups, listing the materials used and the steps involved- This tied in with our procedural writing genre in English- some lovely integration!
