Seachtain na Gaeilge.
We celebrated Irish Week from the 11th to the 15th of March. Everybody made a great effort to use more Irish during the celebrations.
All classes took part in many exciting activities. We started off with every class having Irish dancing lessons for the month of March with Catríona from Scoil Rince Lár Tíre. A traditional music group from the Sacred Heart School visited us and put on a great performance. Staff members also treated us to some trad music.
On “Lá Glas /Green Day” everybody wore some green to remind ourselves to try some more Irish throughout our day. We went on a Rith Mór Glas and there were many reported sightings of a leprechaun on the run ! Teidí Seosamh came to stay with each class for the week and took part in all our activities.
Many classes made books about his stay as Gaeilge. Some classes had Tráth na gCeist/Quiz other classes buddied up and read stories, sang songs and had chats as Gaeilge.
