Second class had a wonderful time exploring many areas of science this week. We were busy experimenting with expanding jellies in water through osmosis, density of liquids when making lava lamps, objects that sink and float when observing an orange with the peel on float and an orange without peel sink. We particularly enjoyed watching the sugar dissolve and dye run on the skittles to create a rainbow pattern when water was added. The children were fascinated watching the colours expand!
