Today, our class had an amazing experience with Barbara from Heritage in Schools. We spent the afternoon outside in one of our outdoor classrooms, diving into the beauty of nature under the theme of “Art and Autumn.”
Together, we created a colourful collaborative art piece using leaves in all different shapes and colors. The students loved exploring the unique features of each leaf, especially those from our first class tree – the silver birch. Perhaps your child would like to show you the silver birch one morning or afternoon?
Barbara led us in a fun scavenger hunt, challenging everyone to find different items in nature around us. Wrapping up the day, we got creative with clay, making little faces on tree trunks and adding our own decorative touches to bring them to life.
It was a wonderful way to learn outdoors, connect with nature, and get creative!
